Political Science UOP Sports Gala Concluded
Department of the Political Science University of Peshawar organized three days sports gala. The event was inaugurated by Dr Noreen Naseer and Dr Ayub Jan on Monday. They highlighted the importance of co-curricular activities and stated that sports have great importance in personality development and confidence building.
During those three days mega event, both indoor and outdoor games were played by the students like cricket, football, table tennis, tug of war, ludo and badminton.
The event was concluded on Thursday (26th, May 2022). Dr Ayub Jan, Dr Shahida Aman, Ms Sara, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
Dr Shahida Aman congratulated the event organizers and appreciated the students on their active participation in the event. Sports boost positive thinking, discipline and confidence of students and such activities would be encouraged to be continued along with academic activities, she added.
On the occasion, Dr Ayub Jan said that sports are a very important part of life and organizing such events promote teamwork and tolerance in students.
Finally, the event ended with a traditional Attan dance.
