Introduction

The CSS  is a prestigious gateway to Pakistan’s civil services, conducted by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). As per the official notice issued on 10th August 2025, candidates must qualify the CSS-2026 MPT (MCQ-Based Preliminary Test) before appearing in the main CSS Examination. The MPT is scheduled for Sunday, 9th November 2025, and the online application window runs from 11th to 25th August 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for CSS Competitive Examination 2026

To apply for the CSS Competitive Examination 2026, candidates must:

  • Hold at least a 2nd Division Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Be aged 21 to 30 years (with up to 2 years relaxation in certain cases).

  • Meet the requirements outlined in the CSS CE Rules 2019 and onwards.

Test Centres for CSS-2026 MPT

The MPT will be held in 19 centres across Pakistan, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, and other major cities such as Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan, Hyderabad, Multan, and Sargodha.

Application Process for CSS-2026 MPT

  1. Online Registration: Apply on the FPSC website during the specified dates.

  2. Exam Fee: Deposit Rs. 250/- at the nearest Government Treasury, State Bank, or National Bank of Pakistan under account head “C02101 – Organs of State Exam fee (FPSC Receipt)”.

  3. Challan Form Submission: Bring the original challan form to the test centre.

  4. Admission Certificates: Downloadable from the FPSC website 10 days before the test.

Syllabus and Preparation for CSS Competitive Examination 2026 MPT
